Anna Handler is a talented German-Colombian conductor and pianist born in 1996. Raised in Munich, she studied piano and conducting at several prestigious institutions, including the Juilliard School in New York, where she was the first conductor to receive the Kovner Fellowship. Handler has gained recognition as a Dudamel Fellow with the Los Angeles Philharmonic for the 2023–24 season and is set to become Assistant Conductor of the Boston Symphony Orchestra starting in September 2024, with her debut at Tanglewood scheduled for 2025.
Handler has an impressive track record of collaborations and debuts with numerous major orchestras worldwide, including the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin, Minnesota Orchestra, and BBC Philharmonic. Notably, she conducted Eunike Tanzil’s debut album *The First of Everything*, leading the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin in its recording. This project showcases Handler’s affinity for contemporary orchestral music and her skill in bringing new works to life.
