Pi2, also stylized as π², is a Spanish progressive rock band that emerged in 1998 when producer and keyboardist Pito Costa assembled a kind of “supergroup” featuring several well-known musicians from the Spanish scene, including Lluís Ribalta, Llís Casals, Albert Lleal, and Oriol Camprodón. Initially conceived as a one-off project, the band’s first album, *Retorn*, received such positive feedback that Pi2 continued on, releasing *Dema sera un altre dia* in 2000 with a nearly new lineup. Known for blending symphonic progressive rock with folk influences from Spain and Latin America, Pi2 has maintained a shifting roster over the years, with most members pursuing solo careers and other projects alongside their involvement with the band. They released *The Endless Journey* in 2005 and *Silent Running* in 2009, with their live performances including notable festival appearances such as opening for RPWL and Fish at the AMAROK festival.
