Jan Smigmator is a renowned Czech jazz and swing singer born on January 17, 1986, in Jihlava. He graduated from the Prague Conservatory in 2008 with a focus on popular music. Smigmator started making waves in the music scene at the age of 14, winning the Golden Nut competition, a talent show for Czech children. He has released several albums, including "Swing Is Back," "Time To Swing," "Vánoce/Christmas," and "Murphyho zákon," showcasing his versatility as both a singer and songwriter. His music often pays homage to the classics of the Great American Songbook, reflecting influences from iconic vocalists like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett.

In recent years, Smigmator gained international recognition with a performance at Carnegie Hall in New York, where he collaborated with members of Tony Bennett's band, including Marshall Wood, Harold Jones, Gray Sargent, and Scott Hamilton. His more recent releases include "The Way You Look Tonight" and "That's All," continuing his tradition of blending classic jazz with contemporary flair. Beyond his music, Smigmator is also known for co-hosting a show on Czech Radio, further solidifying his presence in the music scene.
