Elektricni Orgazam

Elektricni Orgazam, one of the seminal acts of the former Yugoslav rock scene, emerged as a punk band during the late 1970s but soon evolved into a more diverse musical act. Founded in Belgrade in 1980, the band quickly gained prominence with their self-titled debut album and became a part of the new wave movement that was sweeping through the region. Consisting initially of Srđan Gojković "Gile" (vocals, guitar), Ljubomir Đukić "Ljuba" (keyboards, vocals), and the late Branislav Petrović "Banana" (guitar), they were later joined by other musicians who contributed to their long-standing presence in the music industry.

Over time, Elektricni Orgazam diversified their sound, incorporating influences from psychedelic rock, pop rock, and later even dipping into the garage rock revival. They maintained a steady stream of releases and garnered a strong fan base with albums that demonstrated both musical innovation and staying power. Their place in the pantheon of Balkan rock was solidified not only through their creative output but also with remastered editions of their classic works, such as the 2021 remaster of their pivotal "Paket Aranžman" and their eponymous debut, ensuring that their legacy continues to be celebrated and discovered by new generations. Live performances like "Živo i akustično" and the retrospective series "Original Album Collection" showcase the band's dynamic evolution and enduring appeal. As evidenced by their discography, Elektricni Orgazam has left an indelible mark on the regional music scene, standing as an emblem of musical endurance and adaptability.
