Leon Anderson

Leon Anderson is a drummer and educator known for his versatility in both classical and jazz music. He has recently released his debut album, *Live at Snug Harbor*, which captures the essence of his twenty-year career, drawing influences from jazz greats like Wayne Shorter and his contemporaries such as Roy Hargrove. The album is a tribute to New Orleans, where Anderson began his career performing frequently at Snug Harbor, a renowned jazz club. His musical background includes degrees from Louisiana Tech University and Southeastern Louisiana University, and he has been mentored by notable figures like Ellis Marsalis and Victor Goines. Currently, Anderson is a Director of Jazz Studies at Florida State University, where he teaches a variety of jazz courses.
