Balt Hüttar

Balt Hüttar is an Italian folk metal band from the Altopiano dei Sette Comuni in Asiago, Veneto, known for blending heavy metal with traditional Cimbrian folk elements. Since forming in 2011, they have crafted a unique sound that marries powerful riffs and energetic rhythms with instruments like accordion, bouzouki, flutes, and whistles. Their music explores the mythology, history, and culture of the almost-forgotten Cimbri, sung in Italian, English, and the endangered Cimbrian language, making their work both a celebration and a preservation of their heritage.

Their recent album, "Tanzerloch" (2025), is a concept record delving into the myths and memories of the Altopiano, showcasing a visceral and immersive folk metal experience that fans of Korpiklaani and Eluveitie would appreciate. Earlier releases include "Trinkh Met Miar" (2018) and the single "Prüdare Liebe," all of which highlight Balt Hüttar's passionate and creative approach to combining tradition with metal energy. The band’s lineup features a mix of vocals, traditional folk instruments, and metal instrumentation, establishing them as key figures in the modern folk metal scene.
