Sabine Meyer, born on March 30, 1959, in Crailsheim, Germany, is one of the world's premier clarinetists, renowned for her exceptional talent and contributions to classical music. Meyer’s musical journey began at a young age, leading her to study at the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Stuttgart and later the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin. Her professional career took a significant leap forward when she became the first woman to join the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra in 1982, albeit amidst some contention that briefly led to her leaving the orchestra.
