Temple of Scorn

Temple of Scorn is a Danish death metal band formed in 2018, hailing from Midtjylland, Denmark. The band consists of seasoned members who have backgrounds in other notable Danish metal bands. They are known for their dark and doomy death metal sound, which draws inspiration from various international bands rather than the local Danish scene. Themes of death, occultism, and darkness are prevalent in their music, creating an ominous and brooding atmosphere. Their debut EP, "Preliminary Mass," was released in 2021, followed by their full-length album "Funeral Altar Epiphanies" in 2023, which includes tracks like "Burden of Decline" and "Burning Palace of Wisdom."

Temple of Scorn's music is characterized by its exploration of occultism and religious motifs, often evoking a sense of horror and grandeur. Their distinctive sound helps differentiate them from other projects their members have been involved in, such as Horned Almighty and Dawn of Demise. The band is currently signed to Transcending Obscurity Records and continues to contribute to the rich metal legacy of Denmark with their unique blend of dark and doomy elements.
