Pu Shu

Pu Shu (Chinese: 朴树), born in Beijing on December 10, 1973, is a Chinese singer-songwriter who has carved a distinctive mark on the music scene with his emotive voice and poignant lyrics. He emerged onto the music landscape in the early 2000s with his debut album “我去2000年,” which offered a unique blend of folk-rock sensibilities and philosophical musings. His music often reflects his contemplative and introverted nature, allowing listeners to delve into a deeper emotional connection with his songs.

Following his initial success, Pu Shu retreated from the limelight, making his return more than a decade later with the critically acclaimed single “生如夏花” (Life Like Summer Flowers). His subsequent releases such as “好好地” (Fine) and “獵戶星座” (Orion) showcase his evolution as an artist who is not afraid to explore and push the boundaries of his musical expression. Most notably, Pu Shu’s live album “樂人·Live: 朴樹‘好好地II’巡迴演唱會上海站(Live)” captures the essence of his performances and resonates with a sense of authenticity that his fans deeply appreciate. With his innovative approach to songwriting and composition, Pu Shu remains a respected figure in the Chinese music industry, known for his artistic integrity and profound storytelling.
