Supercozi is a Japanese electronic music producer, artist, DJ, and label founder known for her eclectic and adventurous career. She began her journey in music as a vocalist in a punk new wave band in Tokyo, where she spent seven years honing her skills and learning multiple instruments. In the mid-1990s, she discovered trip hop, breakbeats, and experimental electronica, which significantly influenced her musical direction. She taught herself music production using early software and hardware, eventually quitting the band to focus on solo electronic music projects. Supercozi's travels have taken her from Tokyo to the UK and Bali, where she founded her label Hypo Espresso Records and became a resident DJ at Bali's Ku De Ta. She is currently based in Nice, Côte d'Azur, where she continues to produce music, create multimedia art, and perform globally.
