Darker My Love was a psychedelic rock band that found its footing in the Los Angeles music scene in the mid-2000s. Comprised of Tim Presley on vocals and guitar, Rob Barbato on bass and vocals, Jared Everett on guitar, Will Canzoneri on clavinet and organ, and Andy Granelli on drums, the group melded influences from late '60s psych, shoegaze, and classic American rock into a distinct, reverb-soaked sound. The band debuted with their self-titled album "Darker My Love" in 2006, setting the stage for their swirling sonic explorations and establishing them as notable contributors to the neo-psychedelic movement of the time.
With a total of three studio albums under their belt, including the expansive "2" in 2008 and the more melodically inclined "Alive as You Are" in 2010, Darker My Love carved out a niche with their blend of fuzzed-out guitars, intricate melodies, and rich, harmonic textures. The series of live recordings released under the title "LIVE [Mondays (in Spaceland)]" captured the essence of the group’s compelling live performances during July 2006. Darker My Love's trajectory within the indie rock landscape made them a band whose influence extended beyond their years, laying ground for future musical projects by its members, particularly Tim Presley's solo work and the formation of related acts like The Fall and White Fence.
