Lucy Mellenfield

Lucy Mellenfield is a Birmingham-based jazz-folk singer-songwriter originally from Hertfordshire, who graduated from the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire in 2022 after studying jazz voice and getting mentored by top talents like Sara Colman and Mike Williams. She kicked things off with her 2019 debut single **Tournesols**, called 'monumental' by Voice FM, followed by the 2020 EP *In My Short Time* that snagged BBC Introducing airplay for **Beautiful Soul**, and later the 2022 single **Desert**.

Her stunning debut album **Tell The Water, She Will Listen**, dropped January 16, 2026 on Stoney Lane Records and produced by Chris Hyson, weaves jazz, folk, and immersive soundscapes around themes of fragility, love, loss, and societal chaos from her early 20s—think tracks like **Like a Feather**, **Orange and Lemons**, and **Beautiful Soul**. She's toured the UK, hit festivals like Cheltenham Jazz, and even self-produces her own trippy music videos, blending her performing arts roots with raw, emotional songwriting.
