Earth to Andy is an American alternative rock band from Charlottesville, Virginia, formed in 1997 by combining members of two local bands, Red Henry and Egypt. The band's original lineup included Andy Waldeck on vocals and guitar, Kevin Murphy on drums and vocals, Chris Reardon on bass and vocals, and Tony Lopacinski on guitar and vocals. Earth to Andy has released several albums, including their self-titled debut in 1997, *Simple Machine* in 1998, *Chronicle Kings* in 1999, *the bradbury ep* in 2000, *Sticks the Landing* in 2003, and more recently, the single "Matter of Time" in 2021. Their music gained attention with the hit single "Still After You," which reached #39 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock charts. The band has toured with notable acts like Live, Stone Temple Pilots, and Jimmie's Chicken Shack.
Members of Earth to Andy have also pursued other musical endeavors. Tony Lopacinski passed away in 2011 after a battle with cancer. Andy Waldeck has collaborated with artists like Robert DeLeo and Chris Daughtry, while Kevin Murphy has become a sought-after drummer in Nashville. Despite a few member changes and transitions over the years, Earth to Andy has maintained a loyal fan base and continued to produce music. Their discography reflects a blend of alternative rock styles, often incorporating elements of other genres into their sound.
