Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej

Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej, also known as the New Music Orchestra, is a Polish ensemble founded in 1996 by Aleksander Lasoń. It specializes in performing modern music and has been directed by Szymon Bywalec since 2006. The orchestra is renowned for its ability to tackle the most challenging contemporary scores. Over the years, it has commissioned numerous works from contemporary composers and has premiered almost 150 world premieres and a significant number of Polish premieres of modern music. This dedication to new music has made it a leading force in the Polish contemporary music scene.

The orchestra's recent releases include works by Niels Rønsholdt, such as "Country," and other projects like "Acousmatic Music" and "Wołek: elements." These releases reflect the orchestra's commitment to exploring diverse and innovative musical landscapes. Through its performances and recordings, Orkiestra Muzyki Nowej continues to push the boundaries of modern music, both in Poland and internationally.
