KyoShinDo

KyoShinDo is an Italian musicians' collective dedicated to Japanese taiko drumming and traditional arts. Formed in 2004, the group is based in a secluded dojo in the Italian Apennines near Genova. They've trained with Japanese taiko masters, particularly Kurumaya Masaaki and Joji Hirota, developing a unique style that fuses tradition with innovation. KyoShinDo is known for incorporating elements of karate into their performances, creating a distinctive approach to taiko drumming.

The group released their debut album "Taiko Do: Echo of the Soul" in 2020 through ARC Music. KyoShinDo has performed at various international festivals and events, including the Womad Festival and the Mediterranean Music Festival. They're also notable for crafting their own drums using traditional methods learned from Japanese masters, combined with their own techniques.
