Ахат

**Ahat** is a Bulgarian rock band known for their energetic hard rock sound. Formed in 1986 by students from the National Academy of Music and the University of Chemical Technology and Metallurgy in Sofia, the band quickly gained popularity. Their first live performance was on December 22, 1986, marking the beginning of a successful career. Ahat's debut album, *Pohodut* (The March), released in 1989, is considered one of their most successful works, featuring hits like "The Black Sheep" and "Land Of Blindmen." Over the years, the band has undergone changes but continues to be a significant figure in Bulgarian rock music.

Ahat's discography includes several notable albums such as *Izpod ruinite* (From Underneath the Ruins) in 1994, *Made in USA* in 2004, and live albums like *Sedem godini sled* (7 Years Later) and *Golden Rock Tour 2004*. The band has also had a notable return to the scene, opening for Deep Purple in Bulgaria in 1998 and celebrating their 30th anniversary with a nationwide tour in 2017. Current members include Zvezdomir Keremedchiev on vocals, Antoan Hadad on guitar, Denis Rizov on bass, Antoni Georgiev on keyboards, and Yuri Kocev on drums.
