Youmou & Ohana, a Japanese acoustic music duo, consisted of guitarist "Wool" Youmou (real name Kazunori Ichikawa, born 1981) and singer "Flower" Ohana (real name Hana Chiba, born 1979). The duo was active from 2004 and was known for their heartfelt acoustic performances. Their music career included several albums, starting with "Live in Living'07" in 2007, followed by "Konnichiwa" in 2008, and many live albums in the "Live in Living" series. One of their notable songs, "Fuyu no Uta," was featured in a TV commercial in Taiwan as a thank-you message after the Great East Japan earthquake, leading to a concert in Taipei. Unfortunately, "Flower" Ohana passed away on April 8, 2015.
Their discography reflects a consistent output of live performances and studio albums, showcasing their unique blend of acoustic music. Despite the passing of Ohana, their legacy continues through their music, with a compilation album "Hajimemashite + 2" released in 2015 and a live album "Live in Church" in 2016. Youmou & Ohana's music is a testament to the enduring power of acoustic storytelling and the emotional connection they shared with their audience.
