Between Worlds

Between Worlds is an innovative ensemble led by mandolin virtuoso Avi Avital that explores the rich musical heritage of diverse regions by blending classical music with folk traditions. The group features ten international musicians and collaborates with renowned folk vocalists and instrumentalists, creating vivid musical portraits dedicated to areas such as the Iberian Peninsula, southern Italy, and the Black Sea. Through their projects, Between Worlds highlights the fluidity and complexity of musical culture by juxtaposing classical compositions with the traditional music that inspired them, inviting listeners to discover new connections and the beauty in cultural interplay.

The ensemble’s recent releases, like the *IBERIA* EP and *BLACK SEA* EP, showcase their mission to cross boundaries between genres and celebrate regional musical dialects with vibrant arrangements and guest artists including flamenco legend Marina Heredia.
