Plastic Bubble is an indie psych pop act from Kentucky, formed by Matt Taylor in 2012. Initially, Taylor recorded material at home with a rotating cast of friends in Louisville, KY. Over time, Plastic Bubble evolved into a proper band with a lineup that included multi-instrumentalists/vocalists Jason Dudgeon and Elisa McCabe, along with drummer John Kleemeier. Their discography includes notable releases such as "Treble Treasure Chest" (2012/2013), "Big Day Parade" (2015), and "Any Big Adventure" (2018). The group has also released more recent works, including "The Sitting In A Tree EP" in 2020. Today, Plastic Bubble operates primarily as a duo consisting of Taylor and McCabe, focusing on home studio projects after Taylor relocated to Lexington, KY.
Plastic Bubble's music has been marked by their unique blend of indie psych-pop, often incorporating elements from a wide array of friends and collaborators. Their albums have included contributions from over two dozen friends, showcasing the diverse and communal nature of their artistic approach. With a history of regular live performances around Louisville, Plastic Bubble continues to explore new sounds and styles, as evident in their recent releases.
