Migos is an American hip hop trio from Lawrenceville, Georgia, formed in 2008. The group is composed of three rappers known by their stage names Quavo, Offset, and Takeoff. Quavo and Takeoff are uncle and nephew, respectively, and Offset is Quavo's cousin. They initially gained recognition following the release of their 2013 single "Versace," and exponentially rose to fame with their 2016 hit "Bad and Boujee," which went viral and climbed to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Migos is often credited with popularizing the trap music genre, with their signature flow and style influencing many contemporary artists. Their discography, notably the critically acclaimed 'Culture' album series, has solidified their status in the rap game. "Culture III," their fourth studio album, was released in June 2021, accompanied by a deluxe version that features additional tracks. Each member has also put a personal touch on the album through versions named after them: "Culture III (Takeoff's Way)," "Culture III (Offset's Way)," and "Culture III (Quavo's Way)." The trio is renowned for their energetic beats, catchy hooks, and their ability to set trends, both musically and culturally, aptly expressed in their recent single "We Set The Trends." Despite facing individual legal and personal challenges, Migos has remained a dominant and influential force in the hip hop scene.
