Kherau

Kherau is a Basque music group hailing from Euskadi, Spain, who first came together as a project in May 2007, inspired by traditional Basque tunes and old local sounds. The band’s lineup includes members like Eneritz Gorritxategi Lariz on vocals and trikitixa, Gaizka Andollo on percussion, Aitor Esteban Etxebarría on bass, and Iker Lope de Bergara on vocals, flute, and alboka. Kherau brings a fresh, vibrant energy to Basque folk traditions while blending in contemporary elements, and their recent releases showcase a mix of original and reinterpreted local melodies that stay rooted in their unique musical heritage.

With a friendly, down-to-earth approach, Kherau invites listeners to experience the lively spirit of Basque culture through their music, making them a cherished part of the region’s modern folk scene.
