Kala Ramnath

Kala Ramnath is an internationally acclaimed Indian violinist known for her mesmerizing command of Hindustani classical music. Born into a lineage of violinists from the Mewati Gharana, she began studying music at an early age, training under her aunt, the renowned violinist Dr. N. Rajam. Kala’s distinct style, often described as the “singing violin,” captures the essence of vocal Hindustani music and has earned her wide respect and accolades across the globe.

She has performed at prestigious venues such as the Sydney Opera House, the Kennedy Center, and the Théâtre de la Ville in Paris, and has collaborated with a wide range of artists, from Indian classical legends to jazz and Western classical musicians. In addition to her dynamic solo career, Kala Ramnath is passionate about teaching and preserving traditional Indian music, and she continues to inspire new generations of musicians through her performances and educational outreach.
