Regina Chernychko

Regina Chernychko is a Ukrainian concert pianist born in Kharkiv in 1986 into a family of musicians. She began studying piano at the age of four and made her orchestral debut at seven. Regina has an extensive repertoire, including over thirty piano concertos such as all those composed by Rachmaninov. She gained international recognition by winning first prize at the 60th Maria Canals International Piano Competition in 2014, which helped establish her career as a concert artist.

Chernychko has recorded works by Antonio Soler and Anton Rubinstein, among others. Notably, she has contributed to Naxos’s project of recording Soler's keyboard sonatas, showcasing her skills on the piano rather than harpsichord, which was common in earlier recordings of these sonatas. Her recent releases include Rubinstein’s piano works, demonstrating her commitment to exploring Romantic era repertoire alongside Baroque and Classical sonatas.
