Heinz-Peter Linshalm is a renowned Austrian clarinetist known for his versatility and passion for playing all instruments within the clarinet family, from the piccolo clarinet to the contrabass clarinet. He has performed with various ensembles and orchestras, both as a soloist and as part of chamber music groups. Linshalm's repertoire spans classical, experimental, contemporary, and improvised music. He is a co-founder of the Duo Stump-Linshalm, alongside Petra Stump-Linshalm, and also founded the Vienna Reed Quintet. His career is marked by numerous awards and residencies, including the Eduard Tschumi Musikpreis and Artist in Residence positions.
Linshalm has been involved in several notable recordings and premieres, including works by contemporary composers like Pierluigi Billone. He is also an educator, teaching at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna.
