DD/MM/YYYY

**DD/MM/YYYY** was a Canadian experimental rock band from Toronto, Ontario. Formed in 2003, they were known for their abstract and innovative music style, which often featured unconventional instruments and complex time signatures. The band's lineup was dynamic, with members sometimes rotating roles, adding to their eclectic sound. Their discography includes notable albums like **Blue Screen of Death** (2005), **Are They Masks?** (2007), and **Black Square** (2008), the latter receiving considerable national and international attention. DD/MM/YYYY toured extensively, performing at significant festivals such as South by Southwest and ATP's I'll Be Your Mirror, curated by Portishead.

In 2011, the band disbanded, with some members going on to form the band Absolutely Free. During their time together, DD/MM/YYYY was lauded for their unique blend of punk noise and math rock, leaving a lasting impression on the experimental music scene.
