Buffalo Tom

Buffalo Tom is an American alternative rock band hailing from Boston, Massachusetts. Formed in 1986, the band's core lineup consists of guitarist and vocalist Bill Janovitz, bassist and vocalist Chris Colbourn, and drummer Tom Maginnis. The group's sound—characterized by emotive vocals, distorted guitars, and reflective lyrics—gained prominence during the early nineties, a period widely considered the golden era of alternative rock. Buffalo Tom's music often straddles the boundary between grunge's raw energy and the melodic elements of traditional American rock and roll.

Over the years, Buffalo Tom has built a dedicated following thanks to a catalogue that showcases their evolution and persistent relevance. After a hiatus in the 2000s, the band returned with a series of well-received albums including "Three Easy Pieces" (2007) and "Skins" (2011). In 2017, they celebrated the 25th anniversary of their seminal album "Let Me Come Over" with a special edition release, cementing their legacy as enduring fixtures in the indie rock landscape. Their recent works such as "Quiet and Peace" (2018), which features the track "All Be Gone", and singles like "Roman Cars" display a more reflective and mature sound while still echoing the vibrancy of their earlier work. Buffalo Tom remains a beloved and influential entity in the world of alternative rock, continuing to draw fans both old and new with their resonant songwriting and passionate performances.
