Following the band's formation in 1981, Neil became a defining figure in the '80s metal scene, contributing to the band's wild image and string of hit albums including "Shout at the Devil," "Girls, Girls, Girls," and "Dr. Feelgood." Known for his raspy voice and energetic stage presence, he helped Mötley Crüe become one of the world's best-selling bands of all time, with over 100 million records sold worldwide.
