We Came As Romans

We Came As Romans is an American metalcore band originating from Troy, Michigan, formed in 2005. Initially gaining traction with their energetic live performances and a blend of melodic post-hardcore and pounding metalcore sounds, they have become a staple in the heavy music scene. The band consists of founding members Joshua Moore (lead guitar), David Puckett (drums), Lou Cotton (rhythm guitar), Andy Glass (bass), and newer members Dave Stephens (vocals) and Joshua Moore's takeover of the clean vocals following the tragic passing of co-vocalist Kyle Pavone in 2018.

The group's discography showcases a compelling evolution from their debut album, "To Plant a Seed" (2009), documenting their emphatic foray into the genre, through to their self-titled fifth album "We Came As Romans" (2015), which captures a blend of anthemic choruses and fierce breakdowns. The albums "Tracing Back Roots" (2013) and "Cold Like War" (2017) further cemented their place in the heavy music realm, featuring standout tracks like "Fade Away" and "The World I Used to Know." Despite the tragedy of losing Pavone, the band has continued to honor his memory through their music and performances, releasing emotionally charged singles such as "Carry the Weight" and "From the First Note." Their recent work, like the assertive and dynamic "Darkbloom," indicates a band that remains resilient and continues to push forward with their art, garnering both critical and fan acclaim.
