Roots Raid

Roots Raid was founded in 2011 by two friends and musicians, Natty Bass (guitarist and bassist) and Bongo B (percussionist). They established their own label, Berry's Records, and an analog studio in Tours, where they produced numerous vinyl singles with prestigious MCs and guests since 2014. Initially focusing on dub, roots, and rub-a-dub styles with their first album "From the Top" in 2014, they later released a double album titled "Nuit Blanche" on the ODGprod label. This eclectic album explores a blend of deep dub, stepper, bass music, cumbia, and neo soul, while maintaining their roots and reggae foundations.

Their recent collaborations and creative projects reflect a diverse musical influence, with notable works such as "Rooty Cowboy" (co-produced with Panda Dub) and "Nuit Blanche," featuring toasters Cookah and Likkle Ferguson. Roots Raid's approach to music embodies a "do-it-yourself" ethos, emphasizing powerful and minimal bass-drum beats in their music. The duo has performed extensively both in France and internationally.
