Straight Forward is a band that originated in Mansfeld, Germany, in the spring of 2002. The founding members included Johannes Ochs on vocals and guitar, Torsten Hollstein on guitar, and Christian Raufeisen on drums. They were formerly part of the grunge rock band Paria. Torsten Schwan joined as the bass player in the summer of 2002, completing the initial lineup. The band's music style evolved from old-school metal influenced by grunge and rock to incorporate elements of American and European metalcore and Swedish melodic death metal. Over the years, Straight Forward has experienced lineup changes, with notable members including Rick Middelkoop and Stefan Kupfer, who were part of the band during the recording of their EP "Of Destiny And Inner Fight" in 2005. Later additions included Stefan Jeschke on drums and Johannes Helmuth on bass. The band is known for their technical maturity and powerful vocals, as seen in releases like "The Unspoken Truth."
