Mestre Suassuna, born Reinaldo Ramos Suassuna in 1938 in Ilhéus, Bahia, Brazil, is a renowned capoeira master and founder of the international capoeira organization Cordão de Ouro. He began practicing capoeira as a youth due to a physical condition that prevented him from playing soccer. In 1965, Suassuna moved to São Paulo where he later established Cordão de Ouro in 1967 with Mestre Brasilia. Known for his contributions to capoeira, including the development of the "Miudinho Game," Suassuna has recorded several albums and conducted workshops worldwide, helping to spread the art of capoeira globally.
