Hard Skin

Hard Skin is a British Oi! band that emerged from the vibrant underground punk scene of the 1990s. Renowned for their unapologetic, boisterous anthems and humorous take on the genre, the group has been a mainstay in the punk community, offering a stark and satirical contrast to the often serious tone of their peers. The band consists of vocalist and guitarist Johnny Takeaway, bassist Fat Bob, and drummer Nosebleed, forming a trio that has consistently piqued the curiosity and enthusiasm of fans for their catchy tunes and irreverent attitude.

Having built a discography with a tongue-in-cheek approach, Hard Skin released key albums including "Hard Nuts and Hard Cunts" (1996), an explosive debut that set the tone for the band's unfiltered and self-mocking style. They followed up with "Same Meat Different Gravy" (2004), further solidifying their identity in the punk landscape. "On the Balls" (2013), showcased the band's ability to evolve while maintaining their foundational sound, giving birth to more hard-hitting tracks. They demonstrated a knack for cheeky album titles with "Why Do Birds Suddenly Appear" (2013), a double album featuring female vocal counterparts to their songs. Their consistent energy and stick-it-to-the-man ethos continue with releases like "We're the Fucking Business" (2014), a compilation of singles and rarities. Known for delivering raucous live performances, the album "Live And Loud!! & Skinhead" captures the raw, infectious atmosphere of their shows. Through decades of rebellion and jest, Hard Skin has become a cult favorite, delivering unfiltered punk music with a distinctly British charm.
