Break of Reality

Break of Reality is an American cello rock band with a penchant for blending classical music influences with the energy and structure of rock. Formed in 2003 at the prestigious Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, the band has since etched a distinct space within the modern instrumental music scene. Comprised of three cellists and a percussionist, Break of Reality brings an avant-garde twist to both their original compositions and their covers of popular songs.

With an expansive discography that is just as comfortable taking on the cinematic compositions of Toygar Işıklı as it is reimagining grunge classics like Soundgarden's "Black Hole Sun," Break of Reality deftly toes the line between the arts. The somber beauty of "Rains of Castamere"intermingles with the ubiquitous “Game of Thrones Theme (Cello Cover),” demonstrating their connection to popular culture. Releases like "Spectrum of the Sky" and “Ten” highlight the band’s original work, showcasing their talent for crafting emotionally charged and technically astute pieces. With an approach that appeals to both die-hard classical aficionados and fans of rock and metallic sensibilities, Break of Reality continues to enthrall audiences across the world with their innovative sound and magnetic performances.
