**Dubateers** are an East London-based dub/reggae act known for pushing the boundaries of UK sound system culture. Founded in 2005 by producer/selector Nick Dubateers alongside Ian "Jah Waggys" and Glen "Vibesmaster," they built their reputation through raw, bass-heavy vinyl releases and high-energy live performances that blend classic roots vibes with modern digital production. Their work spans over a decade of prolific output—including albums like *Babylon Surrender* and *A Decade of Dub 2005-2015*—featuring collaborations with reggae/dubstep heavyweights like Brother Culture and Skream. Known for their "freestyle" live mixing and a DIY ethos, Dubateers helped revitalize the UK dub scene through their independent label, club nights like "The Dub Bunker," and relentless touring across Europe’s reggae circuits. Despite lineup shifts, Nick Dubateers continues to lead the project, with recent years focused on studio rebuilds and new production techniques for future releases.
