Caledonia Blues Band was a Spanish blues and rhythm & blues group formed in Seville in 1986. The founding members included bassist Juan Arias, guitarist Lolo Ortega, and drummer Juan Ramón Borreguero "Rama," soon joined by harmonica player Domingo "Mingo" Balaguer. Their first recordings and performances quickly earned them recognition, especially after George Michael Lindner became their vocalist in 1988. They released their debut album, *Just Rhythm & Blues*, in 1989 to positive reviews, followed by *Blues for the Mother* in 1990, which led to an extensive national tour culminating at the Festival de Blues de Getxo. Their self-titled album *Caledonia Blues Band* came out in 1991, showcasing a harder blues sound, with lineup changes including guitarist Quique Bonal joining the band.
Over their 11-year career, Caledonia Blues Band recorded five albums and became known for their authentic blues style infused with rhythm & blues influences.
