Computer Magic
Computer Magic is the electronic pop project of Danielle “Danz” Johnson, a synth-loving producer, singer, and songwriter originally from upstate New York. Blending dreamy vintage synth textures with futuristic beats and a spacey aesthetic, Danz began Computer Magic in her early 20s after teaching herself music production. Drawing inspiration from sci-fi, retro video games, and '70s/'80s electronic music, she quickly gained a following with her catchy DIY tracks and whimsical yet introspective lyrics.
Beyond the U.S., Computer Magic found a particularly strong fanbase in Japan, where she released multiple albums and has done extensive touring. Over the years, Danz has evolved her style while maintaining her cosmic, lo-fi charm, also releasing music under the name Danz CM for some of her more recent and experimental work. She's known for her hands-on approach to production and her love for analog synths, combining nostalgia and innovation to craft a distinctive sound all her own.
