Discount was a punk rock band from Florida that formed in the mid-1990s and became a staple of the DIY punk scene during their time together. Known for their energetic sound and emotive lyrics, they blended elements of melodic punk with a raw, heartfelt delivery. The band released several albums, including the well-regarded Half Fiction and Crash Diagnostic, both of which showcased their tight musicianship and the powerful vocals of lead singer Alison Mosshart.
