The Exponents

The Exponents are a beloved rock band from New Zealand, originally forming in 1981 under the name The Dance Exponents. Known for their catchy tunes and heartfelt lyrics, the band quickly rose to prominence in the 1980s and 1990s with hits like "Why Does Love Do This to Me?", "Victoria", and "I'll Say Goodbye (Even Though I'm Blue)". Led by charismatic frontman Jordan Luck, their music became a staple of Kiwi pop-rock, earning them a special place in New Zealand’s musical history.

They rebranded as The Exponents in the early '90s and continued to enjoy success, with albums like "Something Beginning With C" showcasing their evolving sound. With multiple charting albums and enduring popularity, The Exponents were inducted into the New Zealand Music Hall of Fame in 2015, highlighting their lasting impact on the country's music scene.
