Nepal

Nepal was an influential thrash metal band from Argentina, a key player in the Latin American heavy metal scene that gained prominence during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Their music has been characterized by a fierce blend of heavy riffs, aggressive rhythms, and politically charged lyrics. The band was originally formed by lead singer and bassist Beto Vázquez, alongside guitarist Javier Bagala, and drummer Claudio "Larry" Zavala. Nepal's ethos was steeped in a strong sense of social critique and the embodiment of rebellious spirits, which resonated with their passionate fan base.

Their discography impressively charted the evolution of thrash metal in Argentina, with records such as "Demos Originales Mas Ineditos," "Manifiesto," "Ideologia," and "Raza de Traidores" being among their most celebrated works. These releases are a testament to the band's legacy, showcasing the raw energy and technical skill that made them standout performers in the metal community. Although the band faced multiple line-up changes over the years, the heart of Nepal’s music remained consistent, with forceful statements against corruption and societal ills. Despite disbanding, their influence lives on, inspiring new generations of metal artists and fans across South America and beyond.
