Pretty Boy Floyd

Pretty Boy Floyd is an American glam metal band that emerged from the Sunset Strip scene in Los Angeles during the late 1980s. The group is best known for embodying the rock 'n' roll lifestyle of that era, complete with big hair, leather outfits, and a penchant for catchy, sleazy rock anthems. The original lineup, consisting of lead vocalist Steve Summers, guitarist Kristy Majors, bassist Vinnie Chas, and drummer Kari Kane, tapped into the glam metal movement with their over-the-top persona and hook-laden music.

The band gained notoriety with their debut full-length album, "Leather Boyz With Electric Toyz," released in 1989. The album delivered a mix of hard rock and glam metal, punctuated by the hit single "Rock and Roll (Is Gonna Set the Night on Fire)." Despite the shifting musical landscape of the early '90s that saw the fall of glam metal’s popularity, Pretty Boy Floyd continued to produce music and perform for a dedicated fan base. Over the years, they experienced several lineup changes and released albums such as “Porn Stars” and “Public Enemies”, showcasing their unwavering commitment to their glam metal roots. Their music continues to capture the rebellious spirit of the 80s with a modern twist, evident in their recent releases like "We Got the Power" and "Feel the Heat."
