Golden Void

Golden Void is a psychedelic rock band hailing from San Francisco, California, known for their adept infusion of heavy riffs, melodic overtones, and lyrical exploration of metaphysical themes. The band was formed in the late 2000s by Isaiah Mitchell (of Earthless fame) on guitar and vocals, alongside bassist Aaron Morgan, drummer Justin Pinkerton, and keyboardist Camilla Saufley-Mitchell. They derive their name from a Hawkwind track, which is fitting given their space rock influences and commitment to crafting expansive, soaring musical experiences.

Their self-titled debut album, "Golden Void," released in 2012, established their presence in the psychedelic rock scene with its potent blend of fuzzy guitar work and atmospheric soundscapes. They followed up with "Berkana" in 2015, a record that showcases their growth and reinforces their penchant for creating spiritually charged, aural journeys. Golden Void's music is characterized by a seamless, heavy yet soulful sound, bolstered by Mitchell's distinct, echoing guitar solos and the rhythm section's tight, cohesive backbone. Despite not having a vast discography, their tracks like "Rise to the Out of Reach" capture the enthralling quality of their musicianship and their ability to reach deep into the listener's psyche with hypnotic grooves and transcendent melodies.
