Maxo Kream

Maxo Kream, born Emekwanem Ogugua Biosah Jr. on March 29, 1990, is a Houston-based rapper known for his vivid storytelling and gritty depiction of street life. Maxo's lyricism reflects the struggles and experiences of his upbringing in the Alief neighborhood of Houston, Texas. His Nigerian heritage also influences his music, though it's the tales of his tumultuous youth that often take center stage in his work, filled with tales of hustling, family dynamics, and survival.

Maxo Kream entered the hip-hop scene with a slew of mixtapes, beginning with "Retro Card" in 2012, but it wasn't until his 2015 breakout single "Cell Boomin" that he started gaining significant attention. His 2018 album "Punken" and the 2019 follow-up "Brandon Banks" further solidified his status, with the latter project delving deeper into his personal life and father's criminal background. In 2021, he released "WEIGHT OF THE WORLD," a deeply introspective album that added another chapter to his discography while showing growth in artistry. The project was subsequently expanded with a deluxe edition, showcasing collaborations with other standout artists like Anderson .Paak on "THE VISION" and Benny The Butcher on "FOOTBALL HEADS." Maxo's authenticity and dedication to his craft have earned him a devoted following and critical acclaim, marking him as a distinctive and influential voice in the rap community.
