Antoine Reicha was a Czech-born French composer, theorist, and teacher. Born in Prague in 1770, he studied music in Vienna and Paris, where he became a prominent figure in the musical scene. Reicha composed a wide range of works, including symphonies, concertos, chamber music, and operas. He was also a prolific writer on music theory, and his treatise on harmony, "Traité de haute composition musicale," is still considered a valuable resource for musicians today. Reicha died in Paris in 1836.
