Stephen Fretwell was an English singer-songwriter known for his raw and emotional folk-rock style. Born in Scunthorpe, Lincolnshire, in 1981, he began playing guitar at a young age and developed a unique sound influenced by artists like Bob Dylan and Nick Drake. Fretwell's lyrics often explored themes of love, loss, and the human condition, and his music resonated with audiences for its honesty and vulnerability. He released two studio albums, "Magpie" (2004) and "Man on the Roof" (2006), before his untimely death in 2011 at the age of 29.
