WOODZ, known offstage as Cho Seung-youn, is a multifaceted South Korean artist who has carved a distinctive niche in the music world. Born on August 5, 1996, he initially debuted as part of the boy group UNIQ in 2014, under the Chinese company Yuehua Entertainment. His talents, however, are not confined to singing and dancing; WOODZ is also recognized for his songwriting and producing skills. After participating in the Mnet's survival show "Produce X 101" and earning a spot in the project group X1, he has gained considerable attention and a devoted fan base.
Following X1’s disbandment in early 2020, WOODZ has focused on his solo career. He released "SET," a mini-album that showcased his musical versatility and depth as an artist. WOODZ continues to defy genres, blending elements of R&B, funk, and electronic music, which was evident in the release of his following works such as "ONLY LOVERS LEFT" and "COLORFUL TRAUMA." His foray into soundtracks for television with contributions like "YUMI's Cells 2, Pt. 1" and "Monthly Magazine Home, Pt. 5" only further exemplifies his adaptability and widespread appeal. With every release, from "AMNESIA" to his participation in soundtracks, WOODZ solidifies his position as a dynamic and innovative force in the Korean music industry.
