Betty Stjernen, born Anne Beate Johannessen in 1963, is a Norwegian vocalist, band leader, and songwriter based in Trondheim. She has used various artist names, including "Battie," "Betty Bohm," "Betty Boom," and "Betty Johnsen." Betty has been active in the music scene since the early 1980s, initially as a drummer and vocalist in bands like Norske Budeier and Død ved Ankomst/Jihaad. She later became known for her work with Betty Bohm Bang Band and Betty Big Boom Band. In recent years, Betty has collaborated with composer Frode Dyrli Angelsen, resulting in albums like *Fra April og Ut …* and singles such as *Aldri Sove Mer* and *Kvikkfiks*. She also runs her own record label, Betty Records, and has been involved in various musical projects, including the juleoppsetningen *Levd Liv*.
Betty Stjernen has released several solo works, including *Svart Natt* and *Brenn Hexen*, and has been recognized for her contributions to music and social causes. In 2006, she received the SpareBank 1 Midt-Norges Tæl-stipend for her work with the "Bettys Lykkeprosjekt," a calendar project benefiting the Norwegian Cancer Society.
