Shubham Roy

Shubham Roy is an independent singer-songwriter currently making waves in the Indian indie music scene, known for blending everyday experiences into songs that capture both joy and sorrow. Originally from Shillong but now based in Bangalore, Roy is trained in Hindustani Classical Music and Rabindra Sangeet, having studied under notable teachers like Shewli Dhar, Satchit Roy, and Shukla Dam. His music career began in earnest during college, where he was encouraged to perform more and found his voice through Rabindra Sangeet and Bengali folk music, eventually moving into folk and fusion styles. Roy’s original tracks, such as “Aankhi,” have been featured on platforms like MTV Indies, and he’s also contributed to film soundtracks, including the popular Kannada movie "777 Charlie" with songs like “Jazbaat” and “Life Of Charlie.” He remains dedicated to creating heartfelt music and sharing his stories with the world.
