Choi Sung-Soo

Choi Sung-Soo is a renowned South Korean singer, songwriter, and composer born on March 25, 1960, in Seoul, South Korea. He gained prominence in the 1980s for his distinctive voice and striking appearance, alongside popular artists like Kim Beom-ryong and Cho Yong-pil. Choi began his career in the underground music scene and made his official debut in 1983. Some of his most famous songs include "Our Happy Love," "Love of Grass," and "Whisky On The Rock." His albums, such as *Namnam/Sorrow* (1986) and *Accompanying* (1987), cemented his status in the Korean music industry. After studying at Berklee College of Music, Choi returned to music and released his 11th album in 2017. He has also pursued an academic career, serving as a professor at various universities.

Choi's music career has been marked by a blend of traditional and contemporary styles, making him a beloved figure in Korean music. Despite taking breaks to pursue higher education and other roles, such as serving as the CEO of Yedang Art TV, he remains a respected artist in the industry.
