Ilid Kaolo, also known as 以莉·高露, is an indigenous Taiwanese singer-songwriter of Amis descent. Born in Hualien County, she spent much of her early life in Taipei before returning to her roots. Kaolo's music career took off when she joined the Formosa Aboriginal Song and Dance Troupe and later worked with Wild Fire Music. Her debut album, "My Carefree Life" (輕快的生活), earned her significant recognition, including the Best New Artist, Best Aboriginal Singer, and Best Indigenous Album awards at the 23rd Golden Melody Awards. She is also known for her organic farming endeavors in eastern Taiwan, which often inspire her musical creations.
