Ernest So

Ernest So is a Hong Kong-born pianist renowned for his diverse repertoire, which spans both standard concert works by composers like Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin, as well as lesser-known masterpieces by Sergei Bortkiewicz, Leopold Godowsky, Nikolai Medtner, and others. Born on June 1, 1978, So has won several awards, including the Best Performer Award in Singapore and the Beethoven Trophy in 1995. He studied at the Manhattan School of Music and The Juilliard School under notable instructors such as Jacob Lateiner and Solomon Mikowsky. So is not only an accomplished performer but also a dedicated educator, having founded Atelier des Artistes in New York and PerformNow in Hong Kong. He regularly performs in various countries and is involved in philanthropic activities, particularly with the Au Kim Hung Love & Care Association.
